All prices for lessons, rentals, SUP and gear storage at Vela Watersports Center on Cabarete Beach. Prices are in US dollars. A credit card deposit is required for all rentals.
All wingfoil lessons are private, one on one with your instructor. Helmet and impact vest are included in all foil lessons.

Consecutive days means you rent for days in a row. Random days can be spread over your stay and cost a little more. A half day is 3 consecutive hours. Helmet and impact vest are included with wingfoil rental. Rental is for independent riders; our team may ask about your experience first.

Rental Protection Plan
Optional equipment insurance for your rental. With the Protection Plan you pay nothing for accidental damage to boards, foils, wings, masts, booms and sails during normal use, up to US$900. Loss, theft and damage from riding in restricted zones are not covered.

Scope of coverage
The Protection Plan covers accidental damage to boards, foils, wings, masts, booms and sails during normal use. It covers the cost of repair or the depreciation value of the equipment resulting from an accident, up to a maximum of US$900.
Not covered
- Gross negligence: damage caused by riding in restricted zones, such as swimming areas, rocky outcrops or shallow reefs marked by the center.
- Loss or theft: total loss of equipment, including losing a wing or board at sea, or theft from the beach or a vehicle.
- Shore damage: damage on land due to improper securing of gear, for example leaving a wing unattended in strong wind.
- Third party liability: the plan covers our equipment only. It does not cover injury to the renter or damage caused to third parties or their property.
Damage assessment and fees
- With the Protection Plan: you pay no repair costs for accidental breakage.
- Without the Protection Plan: you pay the full MSRP of replacement parts or the professional repair invoice, plus a 20% diminished value fee.
- Total loss: if equipment cannot be repaired, the renter pays the full replacement cost at current market value, with or without the Protection Plan.
Renter obligations
- Self rescue and safety: the plan does not replace your responsibility to return to shore safely. Rescue fees may apply if weather warnings are ignored.
- Report damage immediately: any damage must be reported to our staff as soon as you are back on the beach.
We recommend that all riders carry personal liability insurance that covers extreme water sports.

- A credit card deposit is required for all rentals.
- A half day equals 3 consecutive hours.
- Cancellations at least 24 hours in advance can be rescheduled or converted into Vela credit.
No shows are not refunded.
